The owners of this radiant, light-filled Kyeemagh home were on a mission to transform the main bathroom into a more functional sanctuary tailored for their family. Originally adorned in a 1930’s bathroom style, it bore the marks of bulky and outdated accessories. This renovation journey was not just about aesthetics, but also about ensuring the small floor space was optimised for lasting functionality.

The primary challenge lay in reinventing the limited floor area. The original setting was characterised by outdated 1930’s bathroom decor, which did little justice to the home’s potential. The client’s desire to integrate terrazzo tiles led to the choice of eye-catching grey and white terrazzo tiles. These tiles serve as the foundation for the bathroom’s design, paired perfectly with matte white wall tiles that illuminate and enlarge the room.

The modern white backdrop is beautifully juxtaposed with black cabinetry and golden fixtures. The standout feature of this bathroom is undoubtedly the brushed brass tapware and matching accessories. These elements, coupled with the custom-made black wall-hung vanity and elegantly suspended shower rail, bring a resounding ‘wow’ factor to the space.

Design & Practicality

With a strong emphasis on both design and utility, the under-sink black cabinetry offers much-needed storage, ensuring the bathroom’s streamlined appearance. The window placement, a key element, ushers in an abundance of natural light, enhancing the bathroom’s vibrant ambience while promoting effective ventilation.
