The owner of this beautiful Erskineville terrace was seeking a complete transformation of her home. Fresher Bathrooms completed the start-to-finish kitchen renovation in Erskineville, as well as the living space, laundry and bathroom renovation.

The original kitchen was dim and cramped, and to achieve the open plan feel we removed the dividing wall between the kitchen and living space to create a single room, which instantly made the space feel so much bigger. Next, we created a one-wall kitchen that runs along the entire room’s length and installed bespoke custom joinery.

Ample Storage Options & Custom Crafted Joinery

A key feature of this kitchen is the ample storage options and custom-crafted joinery. The storage is from floor to ceiling, with a mix of open shelves for styling and easy-to-access items, draws and doors. Two-tone shaker cabinetry highlights the kitchen area, a seamless colour blend of white and raku grey. A harmonious dance of light and shadow, old and new, simplicity and sophistication.

In addition, to enhance the sleek look of the room, we decided to integrate the dishwasher, and add Kit Kat tiles to the back wall and splashback adding texture, and complementing the smooth surfaces of the cabinetry and benchtops. The blackbutt timber benchtops add warmth to the design of the kitchen and seamlessly integrate with the design of the bathroom.

The skylight installation has truly transformed the space. The architectural addition captures the abundant sunlight, channelling it directly into the heart of the home. Before, the kitchen felt closed-off and dim; now, it radiates with natural luminance. The skylight not only amplifies the perception of space but also enhances the ambience, making meal preparations and gatherings feel sun-kissed and vibrant.

The introduction of a large glass door in the Erskineville home has seamlessly bridged indoor and outdoor living. This design choice ensures uninterrupted visual continuity, making both spaces feel interconnected. Thoughtfully integrated into the design is a doggy door. This clever addition ensures our client’s dog can move freely between the kitchen and terrace, epitomising the perfect blend of functionality and modern aesthetics.

Adding to the kitchen’s ambience, we installed a LED lighting strip for a warm illumination effect. Beyond its practicality, this lighting choice casts a gentle glow, enhancing the kitchen’s atmosphere during evening hours. It ensures that every corner is well-lit, adding both functionality and a touch of drama.
